Ok I am not going to digress and give my usual anecdote today. But I will write of what is in my heart.
There is this boy whom I knew from the mosque for quite some time now. Currently he is facing a slight problem due to stupid random acts of another friend of mine in the mosque. This friend of mine, well to put it simply, hates this kid. Reason? Because he saw this kid mingled with girls which is inappropiate in the mosque.
Where do I come into the picture. Well I am the head co-ordinator of the Azam Program where this kid is tutoring, and that I am the Head of Youth where this kid is a youth member in the organisation. Thus, I am responsible for the kid's truancy and repellious actions.
My friend has asked me to talk to this kid abt his actions and worst asked me to warn the kid of the repercussions of his actions.
So what is the problem? Well, the problem is that I dont see a real problem at all. My friend blew the case up to a size to an absolutely ridiculous porportion. I am not saying that the kid is right in his action, but damn, not to the point of making the kid extinct. I have explained to the kid and the kid understood. I have tried to put it in a way where the kid would not hold a grudge against an elder but my friends action led the to the kid's hatred. I have explained to him and reasoned with him to a point where I have no avenue of rest and peace in my mind. I have even argued the matter out with him. I am tired. Conclusion. I choose the kid. Reason: Your base of argument is based on another bunch of overaged teenagers whom you dote on and tell you about this kid. And of course my friend, you like to make conclusion. I have known u for a little over one year, but I knew this kid for over 3. Just leave him alone.
I will pull this kid under the social development wing. To hell with the youth. I am tired of you guys. And by the way, I know most of you guys hate me in the leadership and I will tell this to this friend of mine and release my duties as a leader. You want the youth, you can take the youth. You want to lead, may Allah guide you to lead.
To this kid, he now leaves the mosque and vows his eradication on the mosque. I really hope that you hear the voices of your friends above your enemies. Insyallah you will be protected.
"Ya Allah ampunilah dosaku dan dosa rakan-rakanku. Berikanlah mereka ketenangan. Dan kembalikanlah mereka ke Masjid mu yang tercinta. Allahumma Amin Ya Allah Ya Rahman Ya Rahim..."
